The MATERIALITY of ice:
Water freezes at a temperature below 0 °C under a pressure higher than 1 atm. This explains why a metal string moves through the ice block under pressure seeminglessly - and explains on a larger scale the movements of glaciers.

The ice in the devided bit will again become once- similar to the effect of metal wealding - where 2 metal pieces can become ONE. Unlike timber which requires bolting, glueing etc together.
The process of building a timber boat - the different levels of treatment enabling the timber to shape a particular design,....until the moment - when all that energy is again being released - be it a boat travelling through the icelandscape and the ice ebabling the ship to eventually break.
The pressure of the ship onto the ice - the pressure of the ice onto the ship - the Dualistic relationship UNTIL one particular moment of time when one system collapses - the timber goes back to its original shape - after being heavily treated and bend in the process of boat construction,...............
