aspects of the slow motion landscape -

using the metaphor of a boat moving through the ice landscapes with the surface turning slowly into thick layers of ice - impeding the movement.

the intervention:
the objects as obstacles hindering the continuous movement through the landscape, extruded through : the drawing technique of revealing the different time-based connections.
Like spiderwebs, collecting information data, revealing new connections - determining new associations - revealing a second reality of a landscape.

the reclaiming landscape:
the landscape reconquered - by processing it through

the captured moments of resistance:
- functioning as moments of archiving
-

The abandoned boat & and its interior spaces:
- the motion of the boat gradually becoming less until being locked in the ice,...the crew staying on the boat until the sinking has been observed
- the boat as the only witness of the incident - a piece of history
- the documentation through the observer

the desk:
- as the key space of the boat - where maks are rolled out - place of navigation

The slow motion landscape: as a second/parallel level of reality whitnessing the event
the seperation of conciousness into those levels
- the subdivision from a public and a personal memory ultimately leading to the question of existence from the outer world or from the inside?

a captured moment of slowmotion

"The ship groans and quivers, windows splinter, whilst the deck timbers gape and twist. Amid these profound and overwhelming forces, we are the absolute embodiment of helpless futility."
